Taw Pre-School Autumn Term 2026

23.10.26 Pumpkins

Our topic this week is ‘Pumpkins’. This week the children have been exploring pumpkins! The children enjoyed scooping, cutting and investigating the inside of pumpkins. We talked about the different parts of a pumpkin and introduced new vocabulary such as pumpkin, stem, seeds, pulp, scoop, carve and squash.

16.10.26 - Autumn

Our topic this week is ‘Autumn’. This week the children have been exploring the season of Autumn. We have been investigating seasonal changes, collecting and examining leaves, conkers, and other natural treasures, and learning new vocabulary linked to Autumn.  

09.10.26 - Harvest

This week the children have been learning about Harvest and why it is a special time of year. They explored where food comes from and learnt that farmers work hard to grow and harvest crops that provide us with food. The children enjoyed investigating a range of harvest foods, including fruits and vegetables,
