23.10.26 - Autumn
This week the children have enjoyed learning about Autumn. For home learning they collected lots of Autumn Treasures in their Treasure Bags and brought them into school to talk about. We read the story 'Leaf Man' and then tired to create our own creations using our Autumn collections.
The children worked together to create 'rolly' conker paintings, they moved the tray forwards, backwards, side to side and watched the marks they made in the paint.
In Maths the children used the vocabulary 'greater than', 'less than', 'equal to' to compare two numbers.
07/10/26 - Harvest
The children have been buy learning about Harvest. They harvested apples from the school orchard, tasted them and worked together to bake delicious apple cakes.
The children worked hard to weed and tidy the EYFS garden, they learnt about bulbs and planted daffodil bulbs, they can't wait to see them growing!
Codden Class 2026
We are so proud of how well the children have settled into Codden Class over the last two weeks. It has been amazing to watch them making friends, familiarising themselves with the classroom and learning the school rules and routines.
We have focussed on our feelings and have shared the story 'The Colour Monster'. The children have painted self portraits, make feelings biscuits and created their own faces using loose parts and talked about how they feel now that they have started school.
